I know it’s definitely not a fern, none of the 'asparagus-' or ‘foxtail-ferns’ are, as they’re all clearly angiosperms (flowering plants). It’s in the genus _Asparagus_ after all. It’s just not agriculturally valuable or edible for humans. Though birds and other animals eat the ripened red berries, thus spreading it everywhere. Lol..that’s what has happened here in California and elsewhere!

Hi Oase, My pump started acting strange lately and when I disassembled the pump I saw a lot of limescale build up inside the housing and on the magnet of the impeller together with lots of water. Of course I cleaned it all but I still see water leaking into the housing, is this normal? Should there be water inside the motor?

I have a biomaster themo 600 on a 340 litre, mixed community, medium stocked tank. I clean my prefilter (45ppi sponges) every 2-2.5 weeks and the main filter every 6 months or so.

Sir, the fountain head is too high for my client's small pond, all they would like is the Venturi attachment. Is it possible to connect this attachment directly to the outlet or, if not, are the three way adaptors available separately please ?

Just purchased the 600 and 850 because of the pre filter. Almost a month running and can’t get the air bubbles out. I shake it, tilt it and still the same. Please help. The hoses are cut clean and secured.

Just opened the OASE 400 purchased during the pandemic, and the UV light doesn't work. Is it necessary for it to work? Presumably the locate/removal of the bulb is done the same way as the larger model?

Your chart shows that the Filtoclear 19000 is suitable for a koi pond of up to 5000L - is that based on a specific number of adult koi in the pond? If so, how many. I’m building a 4000L pond and I’m going to be stocking 4 koi. A lot of articles say that koi keepers double the filtration actually needed, so now I’m worried the filtoclear 19000 may not be up to scratch? Please advise. (I’ve got a 19000 I recently bought new in box at home ready for the build)

I’m concerned with small fish getting sucked in. The top transparent plastic protection ring has big gaps that’s one issue the second it seems there is not enough water level between that transparent protection ring and the interior mesh. A fish caught in there will dry out and die?!

Is it possible to change the sponge for a finer one or for filterfloss ?

I have the biomaster 600 thermo, just purchased it, and it's making a loud humming noise, is that normal, i mean it's louder than the fridge

I got my first 350 about eight months ago and I'm very pleased with it, however, for the last few weeks it has been making a dull humming sound constantly. I've maintained the filter a few times and cleaned the impeller last week for the second time. The feet are installed. Why would it begin making the humming noise after so many months of near silence?
